Jesse- I met the Shurman men final SXSW. Via buddies of both of us (Austin Collins). They experienced just misplaced their guitar participant, and Aaron (Beavers) and I met for the first time, we hung out that night and the next thing I understood I was leaping in the van off to the Wormy Dog in Oklahoma City to open for Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers.

The Roxy is a a lot smaller sized club than the golf equipment formerly talked about, which can be really good. The space has sort of an interesting set-up. It is a broad phase, placed diagonally, taking up about half the space. I tend to like a stage like this, because the band moves about much more, making sure to interact with the whole crowd and maintaining the show energetic. There is a large open floor area, and behind that are tables and booths. It is an all ages location, but there is a decent (even though expensive) bar.

Well as all great pendulums do, this one has swung back again to what we deserted and will, given the inexorable nature of pendulums, swing back to local bands creating fantastic live music.
