While some might not think about it a pastime, my preferred pastime is heading to see live music. When it comes to Live Music, Napper's generally gets bands that are a lot of fun and the crowd is typically involved - not like some of those Glenwood South joints where the band is just background music for the discussions over martinis.

The El Rey is a small theatre in Los Angeles, on La Cienaga. It has a really awesome art deco environment. The balcony is a cozy atmosphere with couches. There is a very large, rectangular flooring region. A couple of steps up there is a level encompassing the flooring with chairs and a few tables. It's absolutely nothing fancy, but it is a "kick-back again and relax" type of venue to see a display.
